Stay Up-to-Date With Everything Cornerstone

Historic Boutique Hotel Added to Portfolio

Officials announced the addition of boutique and historic hotel, The Craddock Terry Hotel, in Lynchburg, Virginia to their portfolio.

"After consulting and operating this hotel previously under the Beck Company umbrella for three years, I am thrilled the ownership group of this property has decided to follow me into Cornerstone Hospitality" stated Kimberly Christner, President of Cornerstone Hospitality.

Christner was able to secure The Craddock Terry Hotel's membership into the prestigious Historic Hotels of America. The once turn-of-the-century shoe factory is now a residential-style boutique hotel, blending the urban architecture of two landmark brick warehouses with the fashionable styling of a modern luxury hotel. Paying homage to its origins, the 44 room property features décor accented with historical artifacts from the heyday of the Craddock-Terry Shoe Corporation, original shoe-themed art and features two restaurants and a brewery. The hotel also has a very special greeter, Buster Brown, a wire-haired fox terrier.

"Our hotel went from an annual occupancy of 40% when Kimberly took over to an average occupancy of 73% in 2011. Every indication is that she will improve that average in 2012" stated hotel owner and developer Hal Craddock. "We are enthusiastically moving our management contract to Cornerstone Hospitality and look forward to years of continued growth and success. For new and existing properties seeking a creative, highly organized, honest-to-a-fault, comprehensive hospitality service, I can unequivocally recommend Kimberly Christner and Cornerstone Hospitality."
